Ed Lover, radio personality and rap impressario, went off on a tangent of how stale and diluted the rap game has become. While he recognized that rap as an art form is still a formiddable tool to express the plight of ghettostars and uplift the sepia communities, he says that good rappers are hard to find because they can't elbow their way through the masses of whack rappers, hood heroes and bootleggers. He regularly expresses disgust at the mediocrity that has gripped hip hop but gives credit where it is due. Lil Wayne, who at a young age still has 10 years in the game and Jay-z grown-man lyricist, got name-dropped as two of his favorite rappers. Who would be among your top five ryhme-spitters? I got one better, list your top five whack rappers?
